Our aim is to provide AIDS orphans and disadvantaged children in Zimbabwe with an opportunity for an education.

By doing this we hope to fulfil their aspirations and dreams for the future without the worry of fees and other financial difficulties. Founder, Anna Mudeka, started supporting 10 children at her old Primary school, Rugare Primary School, in 2005. In September 2011 The Mudeka Foundation became a registered charity as the numbers of the children supported started to expand.

In 2013 we are supporting 31 children in three Primary schools and one High school. Zimbabwe is at the heart of The Mudeka Foundation as it is the country that brought up the founder Anna Mudeka and nurtured her talent and love for music. Life in Zimbabwe has changed over the past decade and the need for children to have the right to an education is greater than ever before. With the fees constantly going up it’s almost impossible for mostly grandparents, uncles and aunts looking after these children to find the income to send the children to school. All these children want is an education and opportunity to better their lives.

Like to help but don’t have the finances?

There are three other ways you can help:

1. Volunteer your time. We have an active fundraising committee and are very open to people helping us to raise as much money as possible. We are currently raising funds for The Muda Project and any help would be gratefully received. If you think you could help, please contact us.

2. Do you like to shop online? Every heard of Easy Fundraising? It’s a great website that gives a little bit of money to our charity every time you buy something online. It doesn’t cost you any extra. All you need to do is create an account and install the tool bar on your desk top. Every time you buy something online, from a website that supports easy fundraising, it will remind you to do it through the Easy fundraising website and send us a few pennies. Simple. If you’d like to sign up you can do so here.

3. You can tell people about us. Just talk to people about the work we are doing and spread the word. It’s a great way to encourage people to come to our fundraising events and talks.

Perhaps you would like to donate?

If you’re interested in donating. Thank you!

It costs as little as 11p per day to send a child to Primary school so every little helps. Just £15 could pay for over a months worth of High school education for a child. Please bear these figures in mind.

Please use our Paypal donation button on the right hand side of the page.
